Plastic Roads is a project by the Plastic Up-Cycling organization. This organization is an informal group of people who work on converting discarded plastic into useful, durable, profitable products that do not return to the waste stream.
In October 2019, the Plastic Up-Cycling organization partnered with Recycling Advocates. The partnerships allows the Plastic Up-Cycling organization and its Plastic Roads project to take advantage of the formal 501(c)(3) nonprofit status that Recycling Advocates has had since 1987 and that allows an organization to operate as a nonprofit.
Recycling Advocates is Oregon’s oldest grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a sustainable future through local efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle..
